Timeline

The genesis of the Marine Fighter Foray began when General “Lancer” Sullivan and Colonel “Fox” Johnson lead the way for the 2012 Phantom Foray in San Diego. There were about 1,200 Phantom Marines, family and friends in attendance. Fast forward…. The 2022 Phantom Phoray was held in Dallas, Texas with an attendance of approximately 900 aircrew, maintainers, admin/support personnel and family associated with the mighty F-4 Phantom.

After the 2022 reunion, the Phoray steering committee thought is was the appropriate time to rebrand the reunion to the “Marine Fighter Foray” and include all Marine fighter communities, from the first Phantom I to future generations of Marine fighter aircraft. Hence, this adjustment will ensure all Marine fighter communities will have a digital platform and periodic reunions to continue the comarardarie, friendship, aviation history and education for our revered sphere of Marine Corps fighter aviation.
